To Becky and Family, I knew Tony from as a childhood friend. We had birthdays just 5 days apart. He always joked I was the older one. He grew to be a fine man. He lived a full life and I'm proud to have known him. I wished we would have stayed in touch as we grew older like we did in our younger days. His friendship meant a lot to me and I will always keep the memories we had close to my heart. There are many of them and all of them are good. I will always remember as children we rode our bicycles all around Port Wentworth and many times we went up and down the sugar refinery road. We always expected one day there would be a security guard to run of out of there but neither of us ever expected that one of us would leave escorted on the wings of angels. Although his loss deeply saddens me I know now Tony is one of the angels and will always be with us especially looking over Becky, his children and grandchildren whom he loved so dearly.

I prayed that he was either not injured or only minimally so, & thought how devastated you must be. Yet names were slow to be released. Please know that Tony & the three of you have been in my thoughts & prayers daily, but I did not think it appropriate for me to try to contact you until after all searches were completed. We would all hope & presume that he did not suffer, a thought that hopefully brings you some measure of comfort.
